Marina di Ragusa is a seaside district of Ragusa. During the summer season it hosts more than 50,000 holidaymakers from across south-eastern Sicily, as well as Italian and international tourists. The beauty of the Iblean beaches has recently been recognized with important awards. For more than ten years, the Foundation for Environmental Education has awarded the Blue Flag, also including the area among Italy’s certified high-quality seaside destinations. The sea is not only clean and safe for swimming, but measures have also been adopted to promote sustainable tourism and environmental education.
